SAKATA INX CORPORATION (Yoshiaki Ueno, Representative Director, President & CEO) announces that it has joined the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Forum, an organization backing up its activities in support of the TNFD philosophy.
Followed by a framework of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), the TNFD was formed by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Global Canopy. For companies, institutions and organizations, the TNFD aims to provide a framework to encourage them to disclose information on risks and opportunities related to the natural environment and biodiversity, and to shift global financial flows towards nature positive*.
SAKATA INX Group implements initiatives related to the conservation of the natural environment and biodiversity since we defined "Activities to maintain a sustainable global environment" as a materiality (our key issue). After issuing a guideline of "SAKATA INX Group Basic Policy on Biodiversity" in February 2023, we have fostered understanding of the impact on biodiversity by our business activities and promoted conservation activities in cooperation with our stakeholders.
Through our participation in this forum, we will promote not only appropriate disclosure of natural capital information to realize a sustainable society and enhance our corporate value, but also further sustainability initiatives throughout our Group.
*Nature positive: Halting and reversing the loss of biodiversity and putting it on a path to recovery
