S.P. KOROLEV ROCKET AND SPACE PUBLIC CORPORATION ENERGIA OPEN RSC Energia reviews the results of the workshop
January 25, 2016On Friday, January 22, the workshop on Flight Testing, Operation and Utilization of Spacecraft and Upper Stages, in which employees of RSC Energia, the Cosmonaut Training Center and the Mission Control Center (MCC) took an active part, completed its work at the TsNIIMash MCC.
The following papers by RSC Energia specialists won recognition as the best: 'Aspects of Automated Software Packages Development on the Basis of Math Simulation Environment System Tool Kit' (authors: Alexei Toporkov, Victor Gusev and Sergei Ryazanov); 'Efficiency Criteria for Extravehicular Activities on an Orbital Station' (Dmitri Babaitsev); 'Problems of Using Powerful Laser Systems in Space for Remote Power Supply to SC' (Ivan Matsak). Their authors received certificates and gifts.
Winners and participants in the workshop were addressed by First Deputy General Designer of RSC Energia for flight operation and testing of rocket and space systems Vladimir Soloviev. He noted the high level of presented papers and wished the young specialists success, pointing out that a scientific idea is just five percent of success, the most important thing is to implement it.
The workshop is held on a two-yearly basis. Its objective is to encourage young people's scientific interests and creativity. Taking part in it are both young specialists and experienced employees of the Corporation involved in flight testing, as well as their colleagues from the Cosmonaut Training Center and the Mission Control Center of TsNIIMash.

The Corporation conducts work on the development of unmanned space and rocket systems (launch vehicles and orbital transfer vehicles), and high-technology systems for various non-space applications.
