RS Technologies Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended September 30, 2017. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 7,874 million compared with JPY 6,271 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 2,069 million compared with JPY 890 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 2,251 million compared with JPY 491 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was JPY 1,501 million compared with JPY 242 million a year ago. Diluted net income per share was JPY 129.65 compared with JPY 21.64 a year ago. Income before income taxes was JPY 2,251,462,000 compared with JPY 496,357,000 a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2017, the company expects net sales of JPY 9,450 million, operating income of JPY 2,550 million, ordinary income of JPY 2,650 million, net income of JPY 1,630 million and net income per share of JPY 147.60.
RS Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company primarily engaged in the silicon wafer recycling business. The Company operates in three business segments. The Wafer segment is engaged in the recycling, process and sale of silicon wafers for semiconductors. The Prime Silicon Wafer Manufacture and Sale segment is engaged in the process and sale of silicon wafers for products including prime silicon wafers. The Semiconductor Production Equipment Purchase and Sale segment is engaged in sale of second-hand semiconductor related machinery and consumable goods to China.
