Q-series range launches as the two companies celebrate their 30 year partnership
Oxford, UK, 12 January 2012 - RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, is now stocking the new Q-series range of cable ties and fixing components from HellermannTyton, the leading supplier of cable management products. The launch comes as the two companies celebrate 30 years of working together in the UK.
The Q-series offers intelligent cable fixing products including the Q-tie range of cable ties. These incorporate an open head design that enables a quick and simple installation even under difficult circumstances, such as using work gloves and having a restricted view. They also offer an integrated pre-locking function which means they can be unlocked, making them ideal for applications where additional cables need to be added to cable runs prior to final assembly.
Q-ties are available in a range of sizes, colours and materials making them suitable for a wide range of applications across many industries. The Q-series range is completed with the addition of self-adhesive and screw fixed cable tie Q-mounts and also a number of identification Q-tags, both of which complement the Q-tie range.
Kevin Thompson, General Manager Maintenance at Electrocomponents, commented: "We're delighted to be celebrating 30 years of working with HellermannTyton. As a global strategic supplier the partnership forms an important part of our maintenance strategy, enabling us to meet our customers' needs with the best possible prices, product availability and service across a comprehensive product range worldwide. We will continue to develop and invest in the relationship."
Steve Salmon, CEO of HellermannTyton, said: "Over the past 30 years our relationship with RS has gone from strength to strength, helping us to ensure that new product introductions are a success. RS always supports product launches with stock in place and provides us with a means of reaching a more diverse customer base quickly and effectively. The launch of the Q-series range is another example of an innovative HellermannTyton product being introduced as a stock line by RS."
