The Final Terms contain the final terms of the Covered Bonds and must be read in conjunction with the programme prospectus dated 14 June 2011 and the supplementary prospectuses dated 26 August 2011, 6 September 2011, 21 September 2011, 10 October 2011, 17 October 2011, 7 November 2011, 13 December 2011 and 12 January 2012 which taken together constitute a base prospectus for the purposes of the Prospectus Directive (Directive 2003/71/EC) (the "Prospectus"). Full information on The Royal Bank of Scotland plc and the offer of the Covered Bonds is only available on the basis of the combination of the Final Terms and the Prospectus.
