Coventry car dealership invests for growth after strong trading period Coventry, January 16th 2012

Autochoice Car Sales (UK) Ltd, a Coventry based car dealership has invested further in the servicing side of the business after it enjoyed a strong second half of trading in 2011. Funding from their banking partners RBS helped them to open a new MOT station at the end of last year.

Autochoice operate from the one acre site of a refurbished pub on the Fletchamstead Highway on the A45. They have been selling used cars for over 20 years - specialising in one owner vehicles with full service histories. Towards the end of 2011 the company opened a new state of the art MOT and workshop facility. It was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Coventry and increases the service provision that the company can offer. As part of this proposition the company is launching a new ServiceClub to offer regular customers a professional service, competitively priced which provides additional benefits normally associated with main dealers.

The second half of 2011 saw the company increase their turnover to close to £2million. This level of growth and the opening of the new service station creates employment opportunities which the company hopes to continue into 2012.

RBS provided the company with a loan of £50,000 to develop the new work station, which follows their support in 2009 when they advanced £350, 000 to purchase and refurbish their premises.

Dean Malhan, director, Autochoice Car Sales (UK) Ltd said: "The second half of last year saw strong growth in our turnover from both our sales and servicing operations. And the introduction of the MOT and workshop facility provides us with the infrastructure to grow that side of the business further. This month sees the launch of our new website which promotes our philosophy of providing a friendly, professional service at normal "street" prices. We feel the strong local independent service that we provide that is proving popular with returning customers. The ability to reinvest in the company is key to our plans for the future and we enter 2012 with cautious optimism for another good trading year. We are thankful to the RBS team, especially Adam, who has seen the business grow over the last few years and has understood our requirements."

Adam Smith, senior relationship manager at RBS in Coventry added: "The company has a long history of successful trading. The addition of the new workshop facilities allows them to continue to build two strong revenue streams for the business."
