Notice regarding the Filed Lawsuit against Roland Corporation and its

subsidiary company

Roland Corporation (the "Company") hereby announces that its subsidiary, Roland Europe Group Limited (Address: Hive 2, 1530 Arlington Business Park, Theale, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 4SA, UK; Representative: David Vazquez, European CEO; Business description: Sale of the Company's products and control and management of the Company's subsidiaries in Europe; Capital amount: GBP 42,039 thousand) ("REG") (hereinafter, the Company and REG shall be referred to as "Roland", collectively) has been served with a collective proceedings claim form relating to a claim filed with the Competition Appeal Tribunal in the United Kingdom (the "Lawsuit") on 16 December 2022 (local time).

1Outline of the Claimant and the Content of the Lawsuit

Elisabetta Sciallis (Address of the attorney for plaintiff: 70 Mark Lane, London, EC3R 7NQ, UK) (the "Plaintiff ") will seek an aggregate award of damages on behalf of those who between 7 January 2011 to 30 September 2015 purchased electronic drum kits and related components and accessories manufactured by the Company (the "Electronic Drum Kits, etc.") and supplied in the UK and also those who between 1 October 2015 and 17 April 2019 purchased Electronic Drum Kits, etc. and any

electronic musical product manufactured by the Company and supplied in the UK. . It is estimated that the damages amount is at least tens of million pounds, however, no precise figure is indicated in the claim form.

The collective proceedings claim form which REG was served indicates not only REG but also the Company are the respondents, however, the Company has not been served with such claim form as of 23 December 2022.

2Background of the Lawsuit

The Plaintiff seeks compensation from ROLAND for damages suffered by consumers in connection with a decision by the UK Competition and Markets Authority dated 29 June 2020 (local time) which found that Roland (U.K.) Limited and Roland Corporation had breached UK and EU competition law. The Plaintiff also seeks damages in connection with certain other instruments than Electronic Drum Kits, etc. that were found by the decision.

(Note) On 29 June 2020, the UK Competition and Markets Authority found that Roland (U.K.) Limited, a sub-subsidiary of the Company, had engaged in resale price maintenance in relation to the sale of electronic drum kits and related products from January 2011 to April 2018 and also found the Company as a parent company jointly and severally liable. The Company group immediately took steps to prevent such conduct from recurring and maintains those measures on a continuous basis.

3Future Outlook

We will take appropriate actions after carefully examining the contents of the claim form. Since it is difficult to calculate the potential monetary impact caused by the Lawsuit at this stage, the future impact to be given on the Company's business performance is uncertain. If any matters that should be disclosed occur in the future, we will promptly announce such matters.
