Rimini Street, Inc. has appointed Eric Helmer as its chief technology officer (CTO) and announced the establishment of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). As CTO at Rimini Street, Helmer is charged with helping prospects and clients design and deploy innovative solutions and roadmaps to achieve strategic IT, operational and financial goals across various enterprise applications and technology products from proprietary vendors such as Oracle, SAP, IBM, Salesforce and Microsoft and open source products such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and MongoDB database platforms. Mr. Helmer reports to Sebastian Grady, president at Rimini Street. Mr. Helmer is an information technology executive with 25 years of experience and proven leadership delivering strategic corporate IT transformational projects. He has a strong track record in designing and implementing complex enterprise technology initiatives that provide organizations a real return on investment, competitive advantage and enable growth. Prior to his appointment as CTO, Helmer led Rimini Street?s Strategic Services Group where he was responsible for the development and deployment of complex solutions for clients including advanced security, professional services, license management advisory, technical blueprints and cloud and migration services. Before joining Rimini Street, Mr. Helmer was a vice president at Velocity Technology Solutions.
