RAVE Restaurant Group, Inc. Announces Executive Changes

RAVE Restaurant Group, Inc. announced that the board of directors has named Scott Crane as Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 9, 2017. Crane succeeds Interim CEO Clinton J. Coleman, who will remain in his role as a member of the board, where he has served since 2007. Crane most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the high-growth fast casual dining company Smashburger, where he led its development from a two-unit start up concept in 2007 to a global company with more than 330 corporate and franchise locations operating in 35 states and seven countries with annual sales in excess of $350 million at the time of his departure in 2016.
Rave Restaurant Group, Inc. franchises, licenses and supplies Pie Five and Pizza Inn restaurants operating domestically and internationally. The Company, through its subsidiaries, franchises pizza buffet (Buffet Units), delivery/carry-out (Delco Units) and express (Express Units) restaurants under the trademark Pizza Inn and franchises fast casual pizza restaurants (Pie Five Units) under the trademark Pie Five Pizza Company (Pie Five). It also licenses Pizza Inn Express (PIE), kiosks under the trademark Pizza Inn. Its segments include Pizza Inn Franchising, Pie Five Franchising and Company-Owned Restaurants. The Pizza Inn and Pie Five Franchising segments establish franchisees, licensees and territorial rights. The Company-Owned Restaurants segment includes sales and operating results for all Company-owned restaurants. It facilitates food, equipment, and supply distribution to its domestic and international system of restaurants through agreements with third party distributors.
