Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Limited reported unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the third quarter, the company reported net sales/income from operations of INR 2,717.999 million compared to INR 2,807.271 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance cost & exceptional items was INR 456.315 million compared to INR 350.411 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 459.276 million compared to INR 281.638 million a year ago. Net profit from ordinary activities after tax was INR 316.424 million or INR 6.78 per diluted share compared to INR 198.374 million or INR 4.25 per diluted share for the same period a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported net sales/income from operations of INR 8,558.693 million compared to INR 8,787.526 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance cost & exceptional items was INR 1,466.124 million compared to INR 1,185.802 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 1,425.295 million compared to INR 1,011.998 million a year ago. Net profit from ordinary activities after tax was INR 964.637 million or INR 20.68 per diluted share compared to INR 703.101 million or INR 15.08 per diluted share for the same period a year ago.
