Qumak : will deliver a simulator of IMPULS vehicle to NEWAG S.A.

Rail simulator ensuring excellence of train drivers skills

The vehicle simulator will be delivered to Newag SA and the end client is Koleje Dolnośląskie. Within the frames of the signed agreement Qumak will prepare the Impuls rail vehicle simulator. This will be a full-scope simulator with a mobile platform of 6 degrees of freedom reflecting all forces impacting a train driver while driving a vehicle.

Inside the cab there will be a realistically reproduced vehicle cockpit and the delivered software will recreate nearly 1 000 km of routes prepared in 3D technology, which are daily routes of trains of Koleje Dolnośląskie. All will be displayed in the form of a photorealistic picture in 4K resolution on screens of a train driver cab. In accordance with the needs of the carrier there will be prepares training scenarios including occurrence of emergency situations. The simulator will be installed in the headquarters of Koleje Dolnośląskie in Legnica in the 4 quarter of 2017.

SIMTRAQ was developed as a response to the needs of enhancing safety at rail and improve qualifications of drivers on the basis of new technologies. Appropriate reaction of a driver to unexpected events is a key factor in ensuring safety of travelers. The simulator was designed in a way so that it reproduces realistically to a maximum degree various types of situations.

Premiere of the simulator of a traction vehicle designed by Qumak took place during the world's biggest rail transport fair - Innotrans, which was organized in September 2016 in Berlin. At present, the Company performs intensive activities that aim at selling the product on the Polish market and on foreign markets.
