QIWI Credit Rating Lowered to 'CCC-/C' by S&P Global Rating Agency

NICOSIA, CYPRUS - March 15, 2022 - QIWI plc (NASDAQ and MOEX: QIWI) ("QIWI" or the "Company"), a leading provider of cutting-edge payment and financial services in Russia and the CIS, today announced that the S&P Global rating agency has lowered its issuer credit ratings to 'CCC-/C' from 'BB-/B' and kept them on CreditWatch.

The downgrades followed the lowering of foreign currency sovereign credit ratings on Russia to 'CCC-/C' from 'BB+/B' and the local currency ratings to 'CCC-/C' from 'BBB-/A-3', all the sovereign ratings remained on CreditWatch negative. Previously S&P Global rating agency also revised down its transfer and convertibility assessment on Russia to 'CCC-' from 'BBB-'.
