Trans-Jababeka itself is an integrated mass transportation service that serves the movement of people in Jababeka-Cikarang, both within the region and between regions from Bekasi Regency to touch the capital of DKI Jakarta and the agglomeration area of Jabodetabek and its surroundings.
Most recently, the successful launch of the LRT City Bekasi shuttle bus service to Kota Jababeka by the Director of BPTJ Transport of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation Tatan Rustandi on Thursday (14/12), at Hollywood Junction Jababeka, Kota Jababeka-Cikarang. LRT City Bekasi shuttle bus itself is a point-to-point bus-based mass transportation service with a travel route Hollywood Junction Jababeka - Industrial Estate - LRT City Bekasi - Jababeka Industrial Estate - Hollywood Junction Jababeka provided by AO Shuttle By AO Group.
Facilitate the mobilization of citizens and workers in the region
According to Baju Sutanto, Head of the Sub-Directorate of People Transportation, Directorate of Transportation BPTJ, the presence of LRT shuttle buses in Kota Jababeka is very important in facilitating mobility for the people of Jababeka City who want to ride public transportation at affordable prices. Because Jababeka City is one of the National Strategic Areas (KSN) by the central government with more than 1 million workers and a population of more than 1.2 million people.
"We hope that with the presence of feeder transportation to LRT City Bekasi, people or workers in Jababeka City, can get optimal services. So that they can feel comfortable and safe in public transportation and people can slowly switch from private vehicles to mass public transportation," Baju Suharto said, in front of guests who were also attended by officials of the Ministry of Transportation, West Java Provincial Government, and Bekasi Regency Government.
The same was conveyed by Benaya AO Shuttle Operations Manager. He explained that his party is committed to providing optimal service, ranging from punctuality, crew service, and providing a clean and comfortable fleet, so that LRT shuttle buses can be relied on by employees who work in Jababeka using LRT or residents of the area who want to go to activity centers in Jakarta. According to him, service that has standards is an important key in people willing to switch from private vehicles to mass transportation.
"We, together with Jababeka, LRT City Bekasi, and various agencies, are promoting this new service so that it can be known to the wider community, especially residents of the Jababeka area and workers in the area. So, after the flag off, users of this feeder transportation are crowded every day, "explained Benaya.
The transportation used during the trial on December 14, 2023 is a medium bus with a capacity of 30 seats in a 2-2 configuration and a minibus with a capacity of 14 seats in a 2-1 configuration. For the operational hours schedule, it operates every day, with morning departures starting from 6 am and afternoon departures starting from 5 pm from Hollywood Junction Jababeka to LRT City Bekasi.
While LRT City Bekasi to Hollywood Junction Jababeka operates from 7 am in the morning departure and afternoon departure from 6 pm. Ticket reservations and payments can be made on the spot both cash and cashless and online reservations through the AO shuttle application (IOS and Android) and the AO transportbus.com website, besides we provide features in the application and website for customers to know and track the position of the fleet that will arrive at the departure and arrival points of the AO Shuttle fleet in meeting the Minimum Service Standards (SPM).
"We see that the LRT City Bekasi shuttle bus is right for people to be able to access LRT transportation modes for them to travel or work. Because this LRT is a public transport in Jabodebek and public interest in the use of Bekasi City LRT is very high, it can be seen through the addition of travel schedules from Jabodebek LRT. Public transportation is a priority
Meanwhile, Cynthia Hendrayani as COO of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to AO Transport & Shuttle, LRT City Bekasi, Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency of the Ministry of Transportation, West Java Provincial Transportation Office and Bekasi Regency for the synergy and collaboration in optimizing mass transportation in Cikarang, especially in Jababeka City.
Cynthia explained that the presence of the Jababeka-LRT City Bekasi shuttle bus will further complement a number of mass public transportation services in Trans-Jababeka. Currently, Jabodetabek Residence Connexion services are available with the Hollywood Junction route to Blok M-Jakarta, Jabodetabek Airport Connexion (Hollywood Junction-Soekarno-Hatta International Airport), AKDP (Intercity Within Province) from Sinar Jaya which operates every day to Bogor, AKDP from Primajasa (HJ-Bandung).
"We have prepared materials and promotional strategies offline and online. We will make sure this service and shuttle schedule are informed to all our tenants, so that - what we expect from this service - can make it easier for residents or workers in the Jababeka City area, can be truly served. And the interest of people or workers in our region using public transportation is increasing," said Cynthia Hendrayani.
Cynthia Hendrayani also hopes that this good collaboration with the provider and LRT City Bekasi can continue to be maintained and synergize with the Ministry of Transportation and the Transportation Office of West Java Province and Bekasi Regency to improve the quality of transportation services in Kota Jababeka. "Because the use of mass transportation is our priority which is our sixth pillar in the roadmap to achieve net zero Industrial cluster 2050," concluded Cynthia Hendrayani.
