Petroleum Geo-Services ASA Signs Vessel Sale Agreement for Ramform Sterling

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS) signed the vessel sale agreement for the Ramform Sterling to Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC). JOGMEC will take delivery of the Ramform Sterling late April 2019. The sales price is approximately $100 million. PGS will receive about 75% of the cash proceeds at delivery. The remaining will be paid in 2020.

PGS ASA specializes in providing geophysical services and in the production of oil and gas. Net sales break down by activity as follows: - geophysical services (59.6%): acquisition, processing and marketing non-exclusive seismic data to oil and gas companies for prospecting and developing reserves, as well as the management of production fields; - seismic data acquisition services under exclusive contracts (36.9%); - seismic data processing and interpretation services (3.3%). The group also offers services enabling companies to improve their knowledge of the structure and monitoring of their reserves; - other (0.2%). Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Norway (22.5%), the United Kingdom (4.2%), Europe (2%), Angola (11.2%), Namibia (7.3%), Africa (7.4%), Brazil (14.8%), America (4.7%), Malaysia (10.4%), Asia-Pacific (4.6%), Egypt (10.4%) and other (0.5%).
