WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) _ Penns Woods Bancorp Inc. (PWOD) on Friday reported fourth-quarter profit of $3.9 million.

The bank, based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, said it had earnings of 55 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 51 cents per share.

The holding company for Jersey Shore State Bank and Luzerne Bank posted revenue of $18.1 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $15 million, which topped Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $15.2 million, or $2.16 per share. Revenue was reported as $60.4 million.

Penns Woods shares have declined 18% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 35% in the last 12 months.
