Plastic Omnium has reached a new labour deal with the unions representing three sites in France. Under the new deal approved by the CGT, CFDT and CFE-CGC, the deal will include three days less holiday, and a wage freeze in 2013 followed by a small increase in 2014 and 2015. In return, between 300 and 400 of the 1,100 workers at the sites will retain jobs that had been threatened, and EUR 20 million (USD 26.6 million) will be spent on repairs and investment at its site in Saint-Desirat (France).
