(26.10.2022, Скопје) HELLENiQ ENERGY Group, of which OKTA AD - Skopje is a member will focus on renewable energy investments and reducing its environmental footprint.
HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group, one of the largest energy companies in Southeast Europe, presents its new logo and corporate identity as part of the business' overall rebranding. This rebranding honours the company's formidable 64-year history as well as its ambitions of becoming a leading company in the New Energy era.

A commitment to a more sustainable future
HELLENiQ ENERGY's corporate rebranding, seals the completion of the first phase of the Group's fast-paced 'Vision 2025' strategic plan. This plan has seen the company shift its focus towards strong sustainable development, rapid growth of renewable sources and green energy, and expansion into new markets and products. At the heart of this transition is the implementation of significant transformation projects, digitization and modernization.

Leading change through corporate rebranding

The branding was unveiled in Athens at a spectacular event with distinguished guests. By becoming HELLENiQ ENERGY, the company shows its commitment to evolving beyond oil into an integrated energy company, with a leading role across the entire energy value chain and incorporating strict ESG criteria in its operations and future priorities.
At the event, the Group also revealed its new logo, carefully designed to represent its new identity. Keeping a strong bond to the company's history, the recognizable stripes have been set in motion and evolved into a wave of energy, which signals the transition and makes it visible, while the guiding star represents a spark of intelligence and guiding element. The revision of the elements is intended to illustrate what HELLENiQ ENERGY is striving for: energy transition and progress.

HELLENiQ ENERGY CEO, Mr Andreas Shiamishis, spoke proudly of the rebranding: "We are planning and working towards a future that is cleaner and more sustainable for all, everywhere we operate. Thus, our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% till 2030 and achieve zero CO2 emission till 2050. As HELLENiQ Energy, we seek to continue pursuing a path of excellence and being a role model in the country, driving developments forward, while contributing to green growth as well as to energy transition. At the same time, however, it is equally important to adjust the company's traditional activities to a new environment and to continue being a key contributor to the uninterrupted supply, especially during the current challenging times."
Launching the new corporate identity in the region
As part of the rebranding process, events for presentation of the company's new corporate identity are organized in all countries where the Group is present. Yesterday, at a remarkable event held in Skopje, the HELLENiQ ENERGY CEO, Mr. Andreas Shiamishis, presented the new vision and transformation strategy of the company in front of all employees of OKTA.
OKTA Chief Executive Officer, Vuk Radovic, emphasized that OKTA is a leader of change, committed to invest in renewable energy sources and added that "this shows the determination of the company and the Group for energy transformation that focuses not only on the protection of the environment, but also on development of sustainable energy supply systems. Great example of this vision is the start of the project for construction of new photovoltaic power plant in OKTA's installation" Radovic emphasized at the end of his address.

OKTA AD - Skopje shares a common vision
OKTA, as a member of the Group, will continue being the as main fuel suppler of the market and will further focus on investments in renewable energy sources. OKTA is planning to initiate construction of a new solar plant located in its HQs with total capacity of 12 MW. This investment brings OKTA closer to diversification and sustainability while achieving operational efficiency by covering 50 % of OKTA's own consumption of electricity while at the same time providing energy for commercial sales.
Starting from 2018, OKTA has installed 5 PV plants on the roof tops of business partners with a total capacity of 611 kW. In this way, the company contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and increasing the use of renewable energy.
