Novacyt announced on Monday that the UK High Court of Justice has set June 10, 2024 as the date for the first hearing in its case against the country's Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).

Last year, the DHSC decided to file a claim against the Group and its molecular testing subsidiary Primerdesign for failure to complete a contract for the supply of RNA extraction kits used in Covid-19 PCR tests.

Following this case, Novacyt in turn filed a statement of defence and a counter-suit against the DHSC, seeking in particular to recover the sums owed by the DHSC.

The proceedings are expected to last 16 days.
