North Stawell Minerals Ltd. has accelerated drilling at its Wildwood Prospect with two additional rigs commissioned earlier this month. NSM's field team is managing the logging, sampling and dispatching of samples for assay. The company expects to begin reporting assays from February. The Wildwood dome programme is designed to validate historic drilling over the dome and delineate additional gold mineralisation along strike and down dip of known gold mineralisation. In addition, plunging gold mineralised structures identified in 3D modelling are being tested down-plunge. Most holes have intersected the targeted Stawell Facies mineralisation at the contact of the basalt dome and overlying sediments. The company has observed close similarities of geology and mineralisation between the Wildwood and Magdala domes and now await assay results. The drill holes are being logged and mineralised zones sampled for laboratory assay. The company expects to begin seeing assay results in February and will report results as they are returned from the lab. With over 2,300m of drilling to date, the rate of drilling is expected to increase significantly over the next fortnight as the new rigs are optimised.
