Nippon Signal Company, Limited Announces Consolidated Earnings Results for the Quarter Ended September 30, 2020

Nippon Signal Company, Limited announced consolidated earnings results for the quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 35,190 million against JPY 45,538 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 1,200 million against JPY 2,973 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 1,364 million against loss of JPY 1,945 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were JPY 21.88 against loss of JPY 30.17 a year ago.
Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of railway signals, smart roads, automatic toll collection (AFC), smart parks and other business activities. The Company operates through two business segments. The Transport Infrastructure segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, sale and maintenance of railway signal security equipment and road traffic safety systems. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Solution segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, sale and maintenance of AFC equipment and parking equipment. Through its subsidiaries, the segment is also involved in the maintenance, design and sale of electrical products, the development of software, the provision of non-life insurance agency services, the editing of technological information, as well as the maintenance and construction of train station equipment, among others.
