Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2021. For the year, the company reported net sales of JPY 92,755 million against JPY 111,675 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 5,713 million against JPY 8,912 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 4,916 million against JPY 6,584 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JPY 78.82 against JPY 103.34 a year ago.
Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of railway signals, smart roads, automatic toll collection (AFC), smart parks and other business activities. The Company operates through two business segments. The Transport Infrastructure segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, sale and maintenance of railway signal security equipment and road traffic safety systems. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Solution segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, sale and maintenance of AFC equipment and parking equipment. Through its subsidiaries, the segment is also involved in the maintenance, design and sale of electrical products, the development of software, the provision of non-life insurance agency services, the editing of technological information, as well as the maintenance and construction of train station equipment, among others.
