Poland's anti-trust watchdog UOKiK imposed more than PLN 791,000 (EUR 230,300) fee on the Nextbike Polska for unlawful changes to its terms and conditions. According to the UOKiK's findings, the operator of urban bicycle rentals used abusive clauses in its contracts with consumers. The chairman of UOKiK, Tomasz Chrostny, pointed out that Nextbike Polska did not in any way specify in what circumstances it could make changes to the regulations, or what they could concern.

As indicated by the UOKiK, the company Nextbike Polska in restructuring, once the decision becomes final, will have to pay more than PLN 791,000 (EUR 230,300) in penalties and inform consumers about the decision of the UOKiK. The consumers will be able to pursue their rights in court on this basis.
