New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. announced the promotion of Nathan Reese to Chief Operating Officer, a newly created role at the Company. Mr. Reese will continue to serve as Secretary of the Company. Mr. Reese has been with the Company since 2004 and has served as a Managing Director and Secretary of the Company since 2016 and as an executive officer of the Company since 2009. Mr. Reese was named Vice President of the Company in March 2007 and Secretary of the Company in January 2008. He is responsible for the Company’s operations, including certain portfolio activity, loan servicing, treasury functions, and information technology.
New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. is a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, investing in, financing, and managing primarily mortgage-related single-family and multi-family residential assets. Its objective is to deliver long-term stable distributions to its stockholder. The Companyâs investment portfolio includes credit sensitive single-family and multi-family assets, as well as more traditional types of fixed-income investments that provide coupon income, such as Agency residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS).
