One year after launching their partnership, Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury and the French Chef, Cyril Lignac are teaming up in Mauritius for various activities highlighting local culture and cuisine.

"Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury is a timeless place. A place that is all about refined living.
A place that embodies hospitality with all its elegance! Through this partnership,
I want to honour the island's multicultural character."
Cyril Lignac, Chef & Pastry Chef

Chef Cyril Lignac, who took his highly successful Parisian restaurant Ischia to Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury in October 2022, continues to honour the multicultural character of Mauritius. After showcasing the local terroir in his iconic dishes, meeting the island's producers to find new things to try and working closely with Chef William Girard and Chef Ivan Murday from Royal Palm, the French chef is planning a series of activities within the Beachcomber Group.

Various events are scheduled throughout the week of 30 October 2023 to highlight local cuisine and the wealth of the local terroir, as well as moments of sharing with hotel guests, Beachcomber Group's partners and others. Cyril Lignac will start by harvesting honey at Royal Palm with the beekeeper, Etienne de Senneville, founder of Bee Works, a family-run artisanal company. An inter-hotel Honey Cake competition at Institut Escoffier will follow. Pastry chefs from the Group's resorts will be asked to create a signature cake using honey from Beachcomber hotels' beehives.

To wrap up the week on a high note, Cyril Lignac will host several culinary workshops in his Ischia Maurice restaurant at Royal Palm, where he will share the secrets of his signature recipes.
