International stocks trading in New York closed higher on Tuesday, as the S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts gained 0.9% to 184.91.


The European index added 0.6% to 180.33. The Asian index gained 1.6% to 218.85. The Latin American index declined 1.0% to 190.17, while the emerging-markets index rose 0.8% to 355.15.

France's Nanobiotix was the biggest leader during the session, surging 12% to $4.88, and United Kingdom-based Carnival added 9.5% to $16.07. Inventiva, which is based in France, rounded out the top three leaders on Tuesday, with shares adding 7.7% to $3.00.

NaaS Technology, based in China, posted the largest decline, cratering 32% to $3.61, followed by shares of China's Concord Medical Services Holdings, which cratered 29% to 83 cents. Shares of United Kingdom-based Akari Therapeutics cratered 24% to $2.77.
