Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has released the NFP0RSN_HL2 series of film-type common mode noise filters in the ultra-small 018012 size. The new filters are slim and are 0.45 x 0.30 mm (height: max. 0.25 mm) in small size.

The NFP0RSN_HL2 series of filters feature extremely small lands supported and narrow-pitch mounting enabled made possible by a new design feature for the external electrode shape; high common mode noise suppression effect in the communication band (maximum effect achieved at 1.1 GHz and 1.2 GHz) and design consistent with 100 characteristic impedance and a high cut-off frequency enabling noise suppression measures to be taken without adversely affecting the signal waveforms. These filters are used in high-speed differential transmission lines (Mipi, USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, etc.) in smartphones, mobile phones, wearable devices such as watches, and other small-size mobile devices.
