Mount Burgess Mining NL (the Company) (ASX: MTB) advises that Hall Chadwick WA has been appointed as auditor of the Company with effect from 28 January 2022.

The appointment follows the resignation of BDO Audit (WA) Pty Ltd and ASIC's consent to BDO Audit (WA) Pty Ltd's resignation.

Hall Chadwick WA will perform the half year review and audit of the annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2022. In accordance with section 327C of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) the decision to appoint Hall Chadwick will be subject to ratification by shareholders at the Company's next Annual General Meeting in November 2022. BDO Audit (WA) Pty Ltd outlined in an email to the Company the following reasons for their resignation.

'Labour markets in WA are experiencing significant staff shortages with WA's booming economy and an inability to bring in workers from outside of this state. This is placing a high level of inflationary increases on wage costs and a labour shortage in WA.

Unfortunately the accounting firms have been hit hard by significant staff losses to clients and commerce and this has resulted in our capacity to undertake client engagements being significantly reduced.

The inflationary pressures are also resulting in increased costs with many of our clients experiencing significant increases in their current fee levels. Due to this excessive demand and labour shortages, we have had to reassess our capacity to undertake our client engagements and this has resulted in us needing to reduce our current client base to allow for our reduced capacity.'

The Board of Directors takes this opportunity to thank BDO Audit (WA) Pty Ltd for their past assistance and services to the company.
