Signature of two major contracts with Daimler
Montupet, the specialist in cast aluminium alloy components for the automotive industry, announces today the signature of two major contracts with Daimler. These contracts concern the design and production of cylinder heads which will be produced at the Group's Bulgarian site, one of the most modern foundries in the world.
Already working for Audi, BMW and Porsche, these contracts confirm Montupet's growing presence as supplier to Germany's car manufacturers who will account for 20% of the Group's turnover within the next five years.
Following these nominations, Stéphane Magnan, CEO of Montupet, said : «This major success allows Montupet to broaden its panel of customers operating in the buoyant market for German automobiles, thus reinforcing its strategic position. These contracts, which will contribute to Group turnover as early as 2017, strengthen our current order book and demonstrate the automotive industry's recognition of Montupet as the leader in the development and production of high-technology cylinder heads. »
