Minebea Co., Ltd. Announces Management Changes Associated with Business Integration

Minebea Co., Ltd. has started the operations as MinebeaMitsumi Inc. as of January 27, 2017 due to having a business integration between Minebea Co., Ltd. and Mitsumi Electric Co., Ltd. As a result, Yoshihisa Kainuma has been assigned as Director, Chairman of Mitsumi Electric Co., Ltd.; Shigeru Moribe as Adviser; Ryozo Iwaya as Chief of Mitsumi Business Headquarters, Representative Director, Vice President, Executive Officer of Mitsumi Electric Co., Ltd.; Hiroshi Aso as Adviser, Deputy Chief of Mitsumi Business Headquarters; Shuji Uehara as Director, Vice President, Executive Officer of Mitsumi Electric Co., Ltd.; Hiroshi Yoshikawa as Deputy Chief of Mitsumi Business Headquarters; Tadashi Adachi as Executive Officer; and Katsuyuki Iwakuma as Executive Officer. After the General Shareholders Meeting of MinebeaMitsumi Inc. and the Board of Directors meeting which will be held in June 2017, Yoshihisa Kainuma will assume the office of Representative Director, CEO and COO, and Shigeru Moribe will become Representative Director, Vice Chairman, and Hiroshi Aso will become Director, Managing Executive Officer.
MinebeaMitsumi Inc. is one of the world's leaders of design, manufacturing and marketing of high precision equipments and components for telecommunications, aviation, automotive industry and electronic sectors. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- semiconductors, optical devices, mechanical and electrical components (38.2%);
- electronic devices and components (33%): lighting devices for LCD screens, hard disk drives, special devices, etc.;
- machined components (15.8%) : ball bearings, pivots, spherical bearings, fasteners, couplers, magnetic brakes, etc.;
- automotive, industrial machinery and building components (12.9%);
- other (0.1%).
