Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 28, 2021, the Board of Directors of Middlesex Water Company (the "Company") declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.2725 per common share payable on March 1, 2021 for shareholders of record as of February 12, 2021. A copy of the press release announcing the dividend declaration is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated into this Form 8-K by reference.
