Metro Mining Limited is an Australia-based exploration and mining company. The Companyâs flagship project, the Bauxite Hills Mine, is located approximately 95 kilometers (km) north of Weipa on Western Cape York where the Company holds a total tenement package covering approximately 1,900 square kilometers (km2). The Bundi Project area is located immediately south of Glencore's proposed Wandoan Mine development and New Hope Coal's proposed Elimatta Mine. Its Columboola Project is a joint venture between Metro and SinoCoal Resources Pty Ltd. Its Columboola has a thermal coal resource estimate of approximately 1216.6 Mt at depths amenable to underground mining. The Company controls approximately 750 km2 of exploration tenements in western Cape York, a region has export-grade bauxite. Within this area the Company has 13 granted exploration permits for minerals (EPMs), six granted mining leases (MLs) and two granted mineral development licenses (MDLs).
