Chen Jianguang and Zhang Mengxing Visit Former Leaders and Veteran Experts of MCC and Shanghai Baoye Operating Support Team for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics

　　As Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching, on January 28, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and member of the Leading Party Group of China Minmetals, Chairman of MCC and China MCC, and Secretary of the CPC Committee of MCC, as well as Zhang Mengxing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of MCC, China MCC President, and Secretary of the CPC Committee of China MCC, visited Ma Yanli, Yang Shaohe, Li Shuchen, Lai Zongyan, and Wang Tiemeng, who are former leaders and veteran experts of MCC, respectively. They also had a video call with Shanghai Baoye Operating Support Team for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, to care about their current situation. Chen Jianguang and Zhang Mengxing extended holiday greetings to them, expressed the highest respect to officials and employees contributing to the construction of venues and operations for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, sincerely thanked people for their devotion, and wished them health, happiness, and success.

　　During the visit, Chen Jianguang said that in 2021, MCC addressed challenges in enterprise development and carried out regular COVID-19 prevention and control measures. As a result, its operating performance maintained a strong momentum of growth, achieving satisfying results in the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and the enterprise embarked on a new journey of high-quality development to build a better MCC. Chen Jianguang praised that former leaders and veteran experts were the treasure of MCC, whose contributions were necessary to MCC's continuous positive development. He hoped that they could tap into their experience to propose suggestions on MCC's high-technology and high-quality development while enjoying their retirement life. The former leaders and veteran experts sincerely expressed their gratitude towards Chen Jianguang and Zhang Mengxing for visiting them before the Spring Festival. They were happy about the remarkable achievements obtained by MCC in the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, felt proud of MCC's thriving development, and believed that with the efforts of all employees, MCC could create a better future.

　　When visiting the Shanghai Baoye Operating Support Team for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Zhang Mengxing said contributing to the development and operation of the international multi-sport event was an honorable political task. During the three-year construction, the project team, with unremitting innovation, tackled several difficulties to build the first sliding track in China. The venue operating support team, amid the severe pandemic, successively completed support tasks with high quality for pre-homologation test runs, "Experience Beijing" test events, technical inspections by relevant International Federations, and training of national teams. He hoped that the team could carry forward the spirit of "daring to fight, being able to fight, and winning the fight" as they did during project construction, spare no effort to help operate the National Sliding Center with high quality and zero defect, and showcase the image of the central enterprise.
