Melia Hotels International : Meliá Hotels International wins award for the quality and reliability of its information for shareholders and the market

Meliá Hotels International, the leading hotel company in Spain, has been awarded the annual Llotja Award for Best Information for shareholders and the market by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. The jury, consisting of a group of experts and financial analysts, selected the hotel company for the award for 'providing stakeholders with high quality information in terms of reliability, frequency and global reach.'

Meliá Hotels International, which this year joined the Ibex 35 stock market index, has made significant progress in information transparency and accessibility, reflected both in the Annual Report prepared under Integrated Reporting Standards, and in the financial reports for the market and on its website aimed at analysts, investors and shareholders, providing greater visibility for information on the company and its finances as well as its corporate governance systems.

The Llotja Award is based on financial statements, external audits, activity reports, sectorial studies and surveys, investment projects, social balances, environmental audits and codes of ethics, among others. Good governance procedures and shareholder value creation policies, environmental protection, transparency, channel and social network management, stakeholder attention and conflict resolution are also valued.
