Schwazze Announces Appointment of Board of Directors

Schwazze, formerly operating as Medicine Man Technologies, reported that Jeff Cozad and Salim Wahdan have been appointed to the Schwazze Board of Directors. Cozad will also serve on the following committees: Audit, Compensation and Corporate Governance. Wahdan will serve on the Audit committee. Cozad and Wahdan will join Justin Dye, Brian Ruden, Jeff Garwood, and Pratap Mukharji on the Schwazze Board of Directors. Cozad is the co-founder of CRW Cann Holdings, LLC - a special purpose vehicle created to support Schwazze's vision of becoming the dominant, vertically integrated player in the Colorado cannabis market. He is also the Managing Partner of his family office, Cozad Investments, LP, which has completed more than 20 investments across a disparate set of industries over the past 13 years. Wahdan has close to two decades of entrepreneurial experience owning and operating retail businesses. Most recently, he was a partner and operator of Star Buds in Adams, Louisville, and Westminster, several of the Star Buds' branded dispensaries the Company purchased between December 2020 and March 2021.
Medicine Man Technologies, Inc., operating as Schwazze, is a vertically integrated multi-state cannabis operator. The Companyâs business involves the cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and retail sale of cannabis and cannabis-related products. The Company sells products it manufactures and cultivates and a variety of other cannabis goods through wholly owned retail stores, licensing arrangements, and/or third-party operators and retailers. It has three segments: Retail, Wholesale and Other. The Retail segment consists of retail locations for the sale of cannabis products. The Wholesale segment consists of manufacturing, cultivation and sale of both wholesale cannabis and non-cannabis products. The Other segment encompasses the Companyâs general corporate operations, in-store advertisements and certain vendor promotions. It has operations in Colorado and New Mexico. The Company owns and operates 63 retail dispensaries, six cultivation facilities and three manufacturing facilities.
