M. Dias Branco S.A. Industria e Comercio de Alimentos (M. DIAS) has signed an agreement with the government of the state of Minas Gerais, to build a new industrial plant, with a total planned investment of BRL 305.6 million to be completed within five years. Initial studies showed that the plant should be located in the city of Juiz de Fora/MG, in an area near the BR-040 Highway with easy access to various regions of the state of Minas Gerais, as well as to other states in the Southeast and Midwest regions of Brazil. The project foresees that the new plant should start with the pasta and cookies and crackers production.

The aforementioned investment is included in the company's strategy of continuous improvement of its production logistics in Brazil, in order to keep corresponding the growing demand for the products it produces, especially in the Southeast and Midwest regions of the country, increasingly approaching most of their consumer markets.
