Logicom Public : Chief Financial Officer Named ‘CFO of the Year’

Logicom Public Ltd announced today that its Chief Financial Officer, Anthoulis Papachristoforou, has been awarded 'CFO of the Year,' at the 13 CFO Management Forum.

The event, organized by IMH and professional services firm EY, was held on Wednesday 25 October at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia. It brought together Chief Financial Executives and other key players from major companies and corporations operating in Cyprus. The event also featured a stellar line-up of international speakers, presenting and discussing the latest developments in the world of finance, and the ever-challenging and ever-changing role of a CFO.

The Awards Ceremony was held at the close of the event, honoring eminent figures in the Cypriot business world for their contribution and achievements in the field of finance and business. Anthoulis Papachristoforou was presented with the award for 'CFO of the Year' for his financial leadership and outstanding performance.

Mr. Papachristoforou expressed his appreciation for the honor, and gave his insights on the challenges that face an organization's CFO on a daily basis: 'The business environment is constantly changing, and in order for a CFO to ensure that their organization's operations continue to run smoothly, they must remain ahead of these changes, and ready to overcome any challenges that come their way. This is a role that is of critical importance, as the CFO must have in-depth knowledge of the business environment in which the organization operates, and be able to identify the business and financial risk areas and find ways to mitigate them. We simply cannot go wrong twice - the second time may end up being detrimental. Of course, it is also important to note that we cannot have the capacity to know everything, and every CFO must be willing and able to take advice and help from expert sources, a lesson that is important no matter our role within an organization.'​
