Lightron Inc. (KOSDAQ:A069540) agreed to acquire 15.24% stake in MetaVista, Inc. from BonFC International Co., Ltd, JH Construction Company, Kim, Hanjin and Kim, Kyungmin for KRW 2 billion on February 14, 2018. Under the terms of the transaction, Lightron Inc. will acquire 0.16 million shares of MetaVista, Inc. The payment will be made with the 4th round unregistered coupon unguaranteed private convertible bonds of KRW 5.02 billion issued by Lightron Inc. MetaVista, Inc had total assets of KRW 12 million, net liabilities of KRW 62 million, revenue of KRW 204 million and net profit of KRW 100 million in 2017. The transaction has been resolved by the Board of Directors of Lightron Inc. on February 14, 2018. The transaction is expected to complete on February 20, 2018.
Lightron Fiber-Optic Devices Inc, formerly LIGHTRON INC, is a Korea-based company engaged in the provision of optical module solutions for communications. The Company is engaged in the provision of passive optical network (PON) units, PON optical line terminals, optical transceivers, PON triplexers and optical sub-assemblies used as high-speed Internet optical modules services through fiber to the home (FTTH), optical data links (ODL) division and radio frequency (RF) components businesses. In addition, the Company is engaged in the provision of small form pluggable (SFP) and giga bitrate interface converters (GBICs) used as network optical parts. The Company is also engaged in the provision of optical parts used for community antenna televisions (CATVs) and mobile communication receivers.
