Dr. Patrick Fürer appointed new Group COO of the LLB Group

Vaduz, 31 October 2018. Dr. Patrick Fürer will become the new Group COO and a new Member of the LLB Group Board of Management effective the beginning of 2019.

The Board of Directors of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (LLB) has appointed Dr. Patrick Fürer as Head of the Group COO Division and a Member of the Group Board of Management, subject to the approval of the Financial Market Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein. The 53-year-old Swiss citizen has many years of extensive experience in the banking industry.

Most recently, Patrick Fürer was CEO of Notenstein La Roche Privatbank AG, St. Gallen. Previously, he had been a member of the managing board of Bank Morgan Stanley AG (Switzerland), Zurich, where as COO he expanded the Swiss business and managed the integration of the Hong Kong and Singapore branches. As CEO of the bank, he then handled the sale of the Swiss business to Bank J.　Safra Sarasin. From 1998 to 2006 he worked for WestLB AG, where he became Group COO with global responsibility in 2003. This included branches and subsidiaries at twenty locations. He holds a Dr.　oec. degree from the University of St. Gallen.

Patrick Fürer will join the LLB on 7 January 2019. As Group COO, he will be responsible for the Group IT, Group Operations & Services, and Group Corporate Development business areas. He will also be responsible for the COO units of LLB Group subsidiaries worldwide.
