Lamda Development S.A. announced that it will stick to its plans to build a residential complex in Belgrade despite delays caused by ownership disputes. The company has acquired the land of the former plant of bankrupt state-owned textile producer and retailer Beko in the centre of Belgrade and is interested in the construction of a residential complex. The company acquired the land plot from the Serbian government for EUR 55.8 million in 2007, but disputes over the ownership of the property delayed the project's implementation. In 2014, Lamda Development assumed possession of the land plot following a ruling by a Serbian court. The company announced plans to build a complex consisting of high-end residential dwellings, a five-star branded hotel, a shopping mall and offices.
