Konoike Transport Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2016. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 252,550 million compared to JPY 244,982 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 10,264 million compared to JPY 9,361 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 10,714 million compared to JPY 9,591 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was JPY 6,411 million compared to JPY 5,439 million a year ago. Net income per share was JPY 112.68 compared to JPY 95.60 a year ago. Profit before income taxes was JPY 9,898 million compared to JPY 9,464 million a year ago. Net assets per share were JPY 1,521.92 compared to JPY 1,457.39 a year ago. Net cash used in investing activities was JPY 11,279 million compared to JPY 15,457 million a year ago. The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the six months ending September 30, 2016 and full year ending March 31, 2017. For the six months, the company expects net sales of JPY 132,900 million, operating income of JPY 5,700 million, ordinary income of JPY 5,700 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 3,300 million or JPY 58.00 per share.
For the full year, the company expects net sales of JPY 266,000 million, operating income of JPY 11,000 million, ordinary income of JPY 11,100 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 6,800 million or JPY 119.51 per share.
Konoike Transport Co., Ltd. engages in the transportation business. The Company operates in three segments. Its Composite Solution segment operates production process businesses, such as materials receiving, manufacturing contracts, factory in-yard transporting and product inspection, the distribution businesses, such as product loading and unloading, delivery and distributive processing, the other specialty businesses, such as sterilization of medical machines, cleaning and delivery of hospital machines, collection and delivery of industrial waste and recycling in iron mills. Domestic Logistics segment operates constant-temperature logistics businesses based on frozen and refrigerated warehouses held in Japan and general logistics businesses based on dry warehouses. Overseas Logistics segment involves in the maritime and air freight-handling business, and the warehouse operation of export and import cargoes.
