VISIOMED Group announced the integration of BewellConnect connected healthcare services and MAJORD'HOME connected TV platform dedicated to providing home assistance to the elderly. MAJORD'HOME is a connected TV service platform developed by the VITY company. Visiomed Group integrates the BewellConnect home care, remote consultation and telemedicine services and applications using a simple television screen and a traditional remote control. The concept is to incorporate television at the heart of a system of digital services and technologies that ensure good ageing at home. Currently, the unique BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME service offers the first set of TV Apps aimed at supporting the elderly at home. With the software architecture designed by VITY and the APIs developed by the VISIOMED GROUP, the two partners were able to integrate the first BewellConnect connected healthcare platform directly into the BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME interface. In this manner, TV sets replace smartphones and, with support of an Internet connection managed by the MAJORD'HOME Mediabox, provide access the BewellCheck-up and MyDoc services. Combined with BewellConnect connected medical devices (MyThermo, MyTensio, MyECG, MyScale, etc.), the elderly, caregivers and families can measure and monitor changes of essential data on a daily basis. With Internet connection and connected medical devices, BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME allows for the implementation of telemedicine services. Additionally, a decree regarding care through remote monitoring for certain chronic conditions was recently published in the Official Journal. This decree is part of an extension of article 47 of the law on funding for social security for 2017, and it allows for specifying funding for telemedicine. By simply offering new services on a television screen, which anyone can use, BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME can contribute to reducing, at the same time, the constraints and costs of medical monitoring, thus fighting against medical deserts. BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME is intended for the growing market of the Silver Economy. By 2020, 2 billion people will be over the age of 65, 80% of whom will live in developed countries. 85% of them wish to continue living in their homes and demand solutions integrated into their habitats, with over 55% willing to use remote systems to monitor their health. BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME will be marketed from the third quarter of 2017 mainly in the form of B2B2C, through insurance companies, mutual insurance companies, remote-assistance companies and companies working in services for people looking for a digital home support platform, as well as 22,500 pharmacies which will be able to offer the BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME service to their customers. The financial model of BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME is based on: The purchase and installation of the Mediabox kit and related medical devices; Subscription to BewellCheck-up and MyDoc services; Access to offers of custom complementary services (meals, concierge, coach, home care, beauty treatments, etc.) offered by partner companies through apps available on the TV set. The pricing of BewellConnect/MAJORD'HOME services will depend on Module Packs (health, security and/or home automation) chosen as well as on the duration of the agreement. The subscription cost will be between $26.00 and $210 per month, including taxes.
