The board of directors of King's Flair International (Holdings) Limited announced that at the annual general meeting of the Company ("AGM") held on 31 May 2024, Professor Shyy Wei ("Professor Shyy") has been appointed as an independent non-executive Director by the shareholders of the Company (the "Shareholders") with effect from the conclusion of the AGM. Professor Shyy, aged 68, is currently Professor Emeritus, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ("HKUST"). Professor Shyy was President of HKUST and Chair Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at HKUST from September 2018 to October 2022.

Prior to joining HKUST as Provost in August 2010, Professor Shyy was Clarence L. "Kelly" Johnson Collegiate Professor and Department Chair of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor from January 2005 to August 2010. Professor Shyy received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Power Mechanical Engineering in 1977 from Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees both in Aerospace Engineering in 1981 and 1982, respectively, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Professor Shyy is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Professor Shyy has served as a board member and professional expert in numerous public and private organizations, and was a member of University Grants Committee (Hong Kong) from January 2014 to January 2018 and Board of Directors of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation from July 2012 to June 2018.
