Kghm Reports Group and Parent Operating and Sales Results for the Month of and Year Ended December 2019

KGHM reported group and parent operating and sales results for the month of and year ended December 2019. For the month, on group basis, the company reported production of Payable copper of 47,000 tons against 46,700 tons. Silver production was 129.3 tons against 121.1 tons a year ago. TPM production was 23.0 Koz tons against 14.0 Koz tons a year ago. Molybdenum production was 1.3 million lbs against 1.3 million lbs a year ago.
For the month, on group basis, the company reported sales of copper 61,900 tons against 67,200 tons. Silver sales were 122.7 tons against 101.7 tons a year ago. TPM sales were 25.9 Koz tons against 17.0 Koz tons a year ago. Molybdenum sales were 0.8 million lbs against 1.5 million lbs a year ago.
For the year, on group basis, the company reported production of Payable copper of 565,600 tons against 501,800 tons. Silver production was 1,414.8 tons against 1,203.3 tons a year ago. TPM production was 220.1 Koz tons against 174.0 Koz tons a year ago. Molybdenum production was 12.0 million lbs against 15.3 million lbs a year ago.
For the year, on group basis, the company reported sales of copper 691,900 tons against 644,500 tons. Silver sales were 1,412.3 tons against 1,248.5 tons a year ago. TPM sales were 211.1 Koz tons against 172.3 Koz tons a year ago. Molybdenum sales were 12.6 million lbs against 17.4 million lbs a year ago.
For the month, on parent basis, the company reported production of Payable copper of 26,800 tons against 26,300 tons. Silver production was 85.0 tons against 86.7 tons a year ago. TPM production was 12.1 Koz tons against 5.8 Koz tons a year ago.
For the month, on parent basis, the company reported sales of copper 48,200 tons against 53,500 tons. Silver sales were 119.9 tons against 99.1 tons a year ago. TPM sales were 13.9 Koz tons against 7.7 Koz tons a year ago.
For the year, on parent basis, the company reported production of Payable copper of 398,900 tons against 401,300 tons. Silver production was 1,249.0 tons against 1,264.3tons a year ago. TPM production was 103.7 Koz tons against 83.2 Koz tons a year ago.
For the year, on parent basis, the company reported sales of copper 556,800 tons against 514,400 tons. Silver sales were 1,392.8 tons against 1,227.3tons a year ago. TPM sales were 101.4 Koz tons against 83.8 Koz tons a year ago.
KGHM Polska Mied? S.A. specializes in the exploration and production of non ferrous metals. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- copper production (70.7%): copper cathodes, copper concentrates and copper rods (711 Kt produced in 2023);
- production of non-ferrous metals (17.8%): silver (1.4 Kt produced), lead and gold;
- services (4.5%): primarily realization of mining construction projects;
- steel production (1.1%);
- other (5.9%): primarily manufacturing of mining equipments, transportation services, distribution of electricity and thermal power and waste water process.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Poland (26%), Germany (18.3%), China (12.1%), Czech Republic (6.9%), Italy (6.5%), Hungary (4.3%), Switzerland (4.1%), Australia (4.1%), the United States (4%), the United Kingdom (3%), Canada (2.8%), France (2.6%) and other (5.3%).
