LOS ANGELES (AP) _ KB Home (KBH) on Wednesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $216.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Los Angeles-based company said it had profit of $2.47.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.85 per share.

The homebuilder posted revenue of $1.94 billion in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.99 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $816.7 million, or $9.09 per share. Revenue was reported as $6.9 billion.
