Kaap Agri Limited announced sales results for the year ended September 30, 2019. Despite the slower than anticipated recovery from the drought and the severely stressed consumer environment the company have traded in over the past year, Kaap Agri increased revenue by 29.1% to approximately ZAR 8.5 billion, up from ZAR 6.5 billion in the previous financial year with like-for-like comparable growth of 7.6%. This growth in revenue was driven by a 10.6% increase in the number of transactions.

The company also provided earnings guidance for the year ended September 30, 2019. For the period, the company anticipates headline earnings to be in the range of ZAR 283.1 million to ZAR 288.9 million. Recurring headline earnings to be in the range of ZAR 267.6 million to ZAR 273.0 million. Recurring headline earnings per share to be in the range of 373.88 cents to 381.44 cents.
