SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) _ Juniper Networks Inc. (JNPR) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $180.4 million.

The Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had net income of 55 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 65 cents per share.

The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 65 cents per share.

The computer network equipment maker posted revenue of $1.45 billion in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.48 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $471 million, or $1.43 per share. Revenue was reported as $5.3 billion.

For the current quarter ending in March, Juniper expects its per-share earnings to range from 37 cents to 47 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.29 billion to $1.39 billion for the fiscal first quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $1.42 billion.
