Tarcísio José Massote Godoy has been named as the new president of IRB Brasil Re. Godoy was appointed the secretary of the national treasury in December 2006. From 2007-2010 he was the president of Brasilprev and then became director of Bradesco Seguros e Previdência from October 2010 to February 2013. He was then named executive secretary of the ministry of finance in January 2015, where he remained until December. IRB's incumbent president, José Carlos Cardoso, who has held the position since August 2015, will return to his post as vice president of reinsurance at the company. Fernando Passos, vice president of finance; Mario Di Croce, executive vice president; and Lucia Valle, vice president of risk and compliance, remain in their jobs.
