IQVIA Holdings Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 3,391 million compared to USD 2,786 million a year ago. Net income was USD 261 million compared to USD 101 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.36 compared to USD 0.53 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.34 compared to USD 0.52 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 10,238 million compared to USD 8,061 million a year ago. Net income was USD 648 million compared to USD 160 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.38 compared to USD 0.84 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.32 compared to USD 0.82 a year ago.

Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Americas (49.4%), Europe and Africa (31.4%) and Asia/Pacific (19.2%).
