iQ International AG has been accepted by the University of Michigan and CESSET as an industry collaboration partner to collaborate further innovations and sustainable solutions for the energy storage and power industry.iQ International AG has been chosen collaborative partner in a group of renowned universities and industry companies to develop and transition transformational technology in manufacturing and recycling for mobility of the future. iQ will be also help on preparing the next generation of battery technology for a sustainable future. The joint collaboration is led by the University of Michigan (U-M) in conjunction with CESSET (Comprehensive Energy Storage Solutions for Electrified Transportation). The University of Michigan Energy Institute builds off the legacy of the Michigan Memorial Phoenix Project (MMPP), launched in 1948 to engage in research and other activities that support the peaceful uses of atomic energy. The Battery Fabrication and Characterization User Facility, or Battery Lab of the University of Michigan, is a space developed by U-M in cooperation with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Ford Motor Company. The lab's aim is to work with the international industrial and academic energy storage user community to prototype, test and analyze batteries and the materials that go into them. The Battery Lab brings together materials scientists and engineers, as well as suppliers and manufacturers, for innovative efficient battery development near the Nation's automotive capital. The CESSET Comprehensive Energy Storage Solutions for Electrified Transportation), with the University of Michigan as lead, works together with Carnegie Mellon University, UC Davis, UC San Diego & San Diego State University. This conglomerate of universities has applied for a National Science Foundation grant of USD 26 million/5years and followed by USD 18 million/5years. CESSET is a first-of-its-kind partnership between battery, electric grid and system researchers and policy and economic experts at five leading universities.iQ International AG has been accepted by the University of Michigan and the CESSET as an industry collaboration partner. iQ will participate with the following industry collaboration partners: CMS Energy Corporation, Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCHI), DTE Energy, Daimler Trucks NA, KLA, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).iQ International in joining CESSET, and upon funding by National Science Foundation, will help develop and transition transformational technology in manufacturing and recycling for mobility of the future. iQ will be also collaborating with CESSET and its partners on preparing the next generation of battery technology for a sustainable and prosperous future.
