Interserve's construction division was named Construction Company of the Year for the second year running at the National Centre for Diversity (NCFD) third annual awards.

The NCFD awards, which took place last week in London's Earls Court, mark the contribution and commitment of some of the most inspiring organisations and individuals in relation to Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement (FREDIE).

The NCFD also announced its UK Top 100 Index for 2018, highlighting 100 of the UK's best and most diverse organisations. Interserve's construction division was placed at number 30, up three places from last year.

Gordon Kew, managing director of Interserve's construction division, said:

'The NCDF awards are highly respected across the corporate world and I am delighted to see so much of our work to become a truly inclusive business has been recognised. To win the award for the second year running shows that our good work across the diversity and inclusion agenda across our construction business - and indeed throughout the Group - continues to move forward.'

The results of the Top 100 Index and the Grand Awards are taken from the results of the NCFD survey completed anonymously by our colleagues from across industry.

Interserve was last year awarded the National Equality Standard (NES) for equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK.
